I dont think you can take the good days of it has 5htp or st. johns wort on it. those you cannot take with anti-depressants. . . and i wonder why 5htp makes people so tired. Has anyone ever taken st. Johns wort??

I used to take st johns wort. I did a presentation about antidepressants vs natural alternatives. There have been several studies that show people who take st johns wort and exercise moderately are just as likely if not have a greater chance of feeling relief of their depression as those who just took an antidepressant.
I stopped taking it because I didnt really need it anymore. However when I needed it, it was great.

I also took the St.John's Wort for awhile and I liked it. The different brands seemed to work differently though for some reason. I felt it was similar to Prozac.

Mary, did you feel like st.johns wort helped you better than the 5htp?? I think i may switch to st.johns wort. thank you all for your responds.

Yes the St John's Wort was much better. Especially for the anxiety.

is 5htp a over the counter or perscription?
is there n e other drug out there that can help anxiety and depression, but not a perscription?

I've taken 5htp and I really feel like helps. I like to take it before bedtime. I tend to be clearer, calmer, and lose weight!

i know 5htp is ok to take with xanax. but is it ok to take xanax with st. johns w?
