Post Vacation Anxiety
I just got back from vacation with my a large group of family (my brother, his wife, their three kids, two of the kids' closest friends and my sister-in-law's cousin, her husband, and their three kids). Generally, I didn't have any attacks during the week at all and had a great time. I loved having the kids around 24/7 and hanging out not just with the kids but with adults as well. Now I'm home and don't have the constant access to the kids (and their hugs) or the adults and I woke up with more anxiety than I've felt really in a week. Can anyone else relate to this sort of thing?
Hi there!
I completely know what you are saying!
As a child, I always had anxiety (although at the time I didn't know what it was) after a vacation. I would tell my Mom, "Mom, I feel weird. I feel sad and let down."
It was that I WAS let down and a little sad that it was all over.
I think that it is COMPLETELY normal to feel that way. Now that I am older, I still sometimes feel that way BUT I know that I get that way after a vacation.
If you ask most people, they do too. I sometimes get that way on a SUnday when the fun of the weekend is gone.
Your normal. Its normal. Accept it and move on.
Did you take pics?
Make a scrapbook or an online album to remmebr those wonderful times.
Take care,
Lisa

I get that way too after a vacation to some degree. I have realized, though, that if you are REALLY let down afterwards, or on Sunday, perhaps it is that you are not too happy with your job! If you dread going to work all week, maybe you are not doing what you were created to do. Now, not trying to be unrealistic, work is work...but do you HATE it, do you DREAD it? Maybe you should take some of your creativety and start researching what would set your heart on fire, what your passion is. Start making steps to move in that direction. Find your passion in life! Then when you have to go back to the routine of life, it's something that moves you.
