I went through some somewhat mild stress during this last Noreaster....worst wind I ever heard since Hurricane Gloria....I dont like the warmer weather due to my intense anxiety over these severe thunderstorms...The wind bothered me this time.....I had gone outside for a bit to cover my windshield with plastic that continuously blew off no matter what I did, due to a inside leak and I stood in that pelting rain, it was dark out, the wind howled loudly but I felt an empowerment, something strange when I was standing out there. It was a energy I felt...strangely through that bad storm I looked up at the trees waving back and forth....it was like a calm. I dont know know that was....I wasnt afraid at all. Maybe because it was wind and rain, no lightning or loud crashes from thunder. Anyone ever had these wierd....meteorological experiences?

Hi cream cheese,
I have had many "calm" feelings to wash over me, even in the midst of storms!!!

I know in my case, that it was God whispering "sweet peace" to my soul!!!

I think I know what you are talking about!!! It is a very peaceful calm feeling, like you know everything is going to be just fine, and you feel like you don't have a care in the world...

I have experienced this one many times, and I must say, that I would love to feel that way all the time!!!

I think God was calming your fears, in the midst of the storm ;)

That is my take on this matter, since "peace" is one of the "fruits of the HOLY SPIRIT!!!"

Hi Creamcheese,
Yeah I've had that sometimes too--It's awesome!
(Sometimes a little freakin scary, too) but there is some kind of wild energy that's pretty cool.
A meteorologist that was also our professor in school once told us that we should try to request our tests on thunderstorm days because our brains were tapping in to more electrical energy and we would think better---Hah! I still don't know if it's true, but sure tell myself it is! :)
Hope your car stays dry!

Yes, it was weird. Almost like a "HIGH" a tremendous sense of awareness and being. Ms T bones...Yes...I agree....it a spiritual thing..a truley outstanding sense of peace. Abstractgirl. I can relate your professor saying that about storms....energy. A wave of something that you feel. I am not a fan of lightning and thunder...I doubt it if I would stand out there with that going on....But this storm didnt have that....lots of intense wind and rain.....Exceedingly powerful. creamcheese
