I am in my twenties. I take a low dose medication and it seems to lower it. When people check my blood pressure it seems like I anticipate too much, I over think it, I worry if it's gonna be high, and by doing that I think I get the physical symptoms going and my pressure is high. I've gotten tests, blood work, I'm healthy, I exercise and lift weights, I watch what I eat. I think I just drain myself out thinking about it. They say 120/80 is good, I usually get in the 130's/mid to late 80's. Sometimes top number is in to mid-late 40's. Can thinking about it, overreacting and thinking cause it to get high? Anyone have advice or deal with the same thing. Let me know, Thanks.

I'm in my twenties. I've had many panic attacks. My thing is my heart would beat really fast, and that would freak me out. I had a stress test done and while running they wanted my heart rate at 170 or a little higher. When the nurse stepped out I freaked out and had so many negative racing thoughts that my heart rate went up to 150 and was getting a little higher before I even started the test. After I calmed down a bit I did the test, and the doctor said everything was fine, just work on the anxiety. I sometimes still worry when I'm lifting and exercising. Will exercising and lifting weights cause anything bad to happen with high blood pressure? I thought it helps.
