It's only day one in my program and I already feel amazing.
On the other hand, I can feel myself being irritated by my fellow Anxiety sharers. I've noticed my flaws and the things that are making me anxious and depressed, and now I'm noticing it in my friends who also have anxiety. I'm trying to explain to them what they're doing to themselves but they're in extreme denial and keep saying "I will never be able to stop thinking this way. I'm a people pleaser and I subject all my "optimism" on them, and not myself. I will always be this way."
I feel frustrated. I'm upset because they can be so much happier with just a change of thought. What's a good way to stay patient with them and help them through their thoughts?
Day one.

Welcome to the program. This program will help you learn the skills to manage your anxiety/depression issues.
I think its great that you want your friends to overcome their anxiety issues but we have to understand that our frustrations are a result of us trying to control situations. In this program we learn that we can only control our thoughts and behaviors and that we have to let others be who they are.
We want others to think like we do or as we suggest because we think we now better. Maybe your friends aren't ready to deal with their issues yet.
Be proud of yourself for the steps you are taking to overcome this condition. I bet your friends will become inspired by the changes they will start to see in you. You will be able to motivate them to make changes.
I wish you much success in your recovery. Take care and God Bless.
