No it's not weird, I think a lot of us here have had these. It seems very common with anxiety. I used to leave my relaxation tape on all night and it helped quite a bit.

You are not alone! I used to get them often. Wake up sweating feeling really weird and wired. I never knew it was anxiety until this program. I made a few trips to the hospital. Felt stupid after. Our health system in Canada needs to know more about this disorder!

I have been waking up every night all night long with increased pulse and my heart pounding and chest pain for couple of months now, this is what actually wakes me up. I am exhausted because I'm only getting a few hours of sleep a night and can't seem to get into deep sleep. Is this anxiety? I get scared that it's more than anxiety and haven't heard of many people having this same thing. Is this common and normal to have with anxiety? I just want to sleep and haven't had luck with any meds and am also scared of taking meds. It also makes night time not a fun time because I get worried that it's going to keep happening all night long again when all I want is to sleep. Deep breathing/relaxation helps some but only to keep things at bay & not enough to get a solid night sleep. Any thoughts/ideas?

You are definitely not alone. My A/P very often came in the middle of the night! It's scary to be awakened by these symptoms...rapid heart beat, sweating and for me headaches...sometimes even ibs.
I'm on lesson 14 and once my anxiety subsided so did these nightime symptoms. I used to get up and make myself camamille tea which helped.

Don't be afraid...it will pass!

The best to you all
