There is a particular section of the forum devoted to those of us who started (or in my case will be starting) the program in September. There is also this bigger forum open to everybody. Both have sub-forums (or is it fora?) for each week's lessons.
Does anybody have an opinion about which part of the forum we newbies should be using if the goal is to get the most out of the program?
I am leaning toward using this bigger forum if I have any questions or comments on particular lessons. The reason is that there are people here who have either completed the program or are farther along and so should probably have a better perspective on the lessons. Also there are just plain more people here, so there's a better chance of someone understanding a question or having had a similar experience. There are also a lot of old posts from previous months which are interesting to read.
So are there good reasons for us newbies to restrict ourselves to the September forum? I'm having a hard time thinking of any.

How should we newbies use these forums?
I just always post in the general forum, but usually I just come in see what the most recent posts are, reply, sometimes post my own questions! Then sometimes when I am bored I go back through all the posts and read the ones that I think I might be interested in! Thats just how I do it! As far as I can tell post where ever you want, it will show up at the top where the recent posts are no matter where you post, so everyone will still see it! Take care!!

Ah, so it's new. Maybe it still has a few bugs that need to be worked. In particular having newbie specific sections for discussing the lessons may need to be re-thought. If we newbies stay in our own area we are missing out on all the accumulated experience and wisdom.Originally posted by Mello Nello:

Jeff,
the new peer group forum was supposed to help those who start the program on the same month. It just started in August i think. I think they hoped newbies wouldnt get lost in the regualar forums, thats the way I understood it anyway. True they may need to work the bugs out.
I didnt join becuase i finished my program last november... Nelly:)

The month you started would be your program group. I was told it was set up this way so that everyone who started in that particular month would be going along in the program at about the same speed, and could give each other help and encouragement with the same sessions. What I found was that after about the 9th session most people stopped posting in their program month and started posting on the general forum.
