Thanks for responding. I think you're right. I think it's fear of the unknown. I wish God, and heaven was something I could google, and find the answer I am looking for. lol, I was taught to believe in God, but I wasn't taught why to believe. I've been more than fine with that my entire life so far, until I lost my Dad almost 3 years ago, and developed this panic disorder, and now it's like I NEED the answers to all life's questions. I've tried to read the bible, and I can't understand it, and what I can understand makes God out to be far from loving, and will punish you for the least little thing you do. I want to be good enough for God, but the bible scares me so much that I feel I'm damned no matter what. I want to learn. Church is not an option for me for reasons I'd rather not get into. If I'm not thinking about God, then I think about my health, and when I'll have my first heart attack, or when I'll find out I have cancer. I'm nothing, but doom and gloom. lol, how can I turn this around? Any advice would be great! Thanks!

Dear Amanda,
I really feel that it is impossible to know for sure that there is a God until you receive the free gift of salvation...Most of us believe there is a God, but, we have no way of knowing for sure, since, we have never seen Him...
But, I am here to tell you that after you get saved (born again) then you know for sure there is a God, because you know Him...It is no longer a mind thing (thinking), but you actually KNOW HIM PERSONALLY...
It may be difficult to take some one Else's word for this...but, I promise you that I do know Him and He is my Heavenly Father...
I know him better than I know anyone on this earth; because He now lives within me, and I talk to Him daily... I have heard His voice and I have seen Him in visions (wide awake)....
I have seen those stripes that He bore for the healing of our bodies..
Believe me...He is real, and I have absolutely no reason at all to lie to you....He is more real than anyone I know and He wants everyone to seek His face because He is full of love!!!!!

Amanda..It also seems like you are expecting the very worst things in life to happen to you....Sounds like you obsessing over things which you have no control over...
You need to work on your "obsessions" in the program...You tend to worry over things that are very unlikely to happen, and this is called unrealistic thoughts.
You need to work to replace these negative thoughts with more positive realistic thoughts...
I do not believe for one minute you are going to have a heart attack, and I do not feel you have cancer, either...
Ask yourself these questions:
What evidence do you have that makes you think you are going to have a heart attack?
On what evidence are you basing the assumption that you will ever get cancer?
Remember panic attacks may feel like heart attacks, but, they are not even related, and you will never have a heart attack from having a panic attack...Panic attacks are not dangerous...They cannot hurt you in any way!!!!
God is not some distant and angry God...He is full of love and compassion...He died for you and me so that we could receive the free gift of Salvation....He is not out to get you Amanda...He is the opposite of everything that your negative thinking has Him summed up to.

I used to be terrified of dying because I was also frightened of the unknown...But, that was before I got "born again"...
I am not longer scared at all of dying because I know that I am just going home to be with my Heavenly Father....I trust Him to take excellent care of me in this life, and when I leave here, I will just be going home to spend "eternity" with the One who died for me, and also all of my loved ones who have already gone home...
Don't get me wrong, I would like to live a really long life down here, and I pray that I do get that opportunity...But...little one, I have to tell you that there is more to life than just living down here...We have a home in Heaven, and it is soooo beautiful and full of peace and joy...A safe, happy, and joyful place with no sickness nor sorrow...And, we will be truly much more alive up there, than we could ever be down here...
So, please contemplate on these things that I am writing to you...Please take them to heart, and instead of scaring yourself with thoughts of the hereafter and dying...Get to know the one who conquered Death, Hell and the Grave....
I pray that you incline your ears to these things, because they are not just some belief...They are reality....God Bless
