Hi I use to have mild panic attacks through high school. But a month ago I choked on a hot dog and now I panic all the time and I haven't eaten anything but liquids since then. I wanna change but my head is filled with negative thoughts. If you have any ideas that could help please tell me. Thank you

Samantha,
Welcome to the program. You'll be able to change those negative thoughts soon with practice. I understand why you panic about eating after your experience with the hotdog. But now you're scaring yourself with "what if" it happens again. You've eaten food your whole life and you can eat it again. Try working up to it with things like applesauce or yogurt, maybe stay away from hotdogs for a while.

You will soon start writing down your negative thoughts so you can see how your mind works. It helps to see the patterns written down. There is also a series of relaxation exercises that should help you calm those attacks. The fact that you want to change makes all the difference.

Good luck!
Les
