I do respect the idea that none of us are necessarily medical professionals. However, I am curious as to others experience with Citolopram.

The only thing I know about it is that a friend of mine went on it and it did very well for her.

I have not had good experiences with Citalopram. It is either increasing my muscle twitches or causing them. I am slowly going off this drug - it is not a drug you can go off fast. It is taking me weeks and I can't wait to get off of it. It also made me very tired during the day - I really saw no benefits from it. Sorry - maybe it is just me!

It worked for me at higher dose but with the higher dose came the sexual side effects. I am currently on wellbutrin and buspar. That combo works for me without the drowsy feeling or any sexual side effects.

I was on citalopram for 2yrs. Right away I noticed that my short term memory went bad, the doctor would ask what I ate for breakfast and I was like when was breakfast? Did I even eat breakfast? lol. After a few weeks I felt awesome but I couldn't afford the meds anymore so I quit taking them cold turkey and was fine for a day then I would be walking down the hall and the world would just start spinning and I lost balance every once in a while.
