relaxing
I got the tapes back in '05 and got to wk 2 and stopped because I felt better. My anxiety took a turn for the worse if possible in '07 thanks to my therapist ha I finished the tapes in '08 and am alot better than I was. I'm not so agoraphobic, but I do not feel I'm where I could be. I didn't use the relaxation tapes like i was supposed to. I'm ready to refresh my memory w/ the tapes even the relaxation tape. My problem is trying to relax. I get easily discouraged and negative. Someone please tell me the relaxtion tape is the key I need and it does work when done right.
Deener...Acceptance is the key...Accept your anxiety attacks and just float through them...Face your fears head on...Remember...Fear is "false evidence appearing real"....When you struggle with any emotion, you are fighting an unending battle...You can not fight against your own self and win...You must accept and face whatever is bothering you, then, take action to overcome...The relaxation tape is AWESOME...It teaches you how to become more relaxed, and where your tension is stored in your body...The relaxation tape helped me tremendously....If your body is relaxed, then, your mind will be, also...And, make sure to replace those negative thoughts with positive ones...That is so important...Our brain has no choice, but to believe what we tell it...If we are telling it negative thoughts all day long, then, we will experience anxiety and stress....I pray this helped...God Bless...
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7
Ms. T Bones thank you so much for your help. I believe I purposely sabotage my relaxation time because I'm afraid if after doing the program the correct way I still will not be better. So if I don't use my relaxation tape and still have some anxiety then I always have the hope of doing the program over with the relaxation tape and getting better. Make sense haha. Again thank you, I know you are right.
