I am so tired of the roller coaster ride. I thought I was getting better in December because I had a week and a half with very mild symptoms. Then the week of Christmas the anxiety came back with a venegeance...little sleep, MUCH worse after eating...I just felt like I had an electrical current running through my body/mind. Well, it went away and for the last week or so I've felt pretty good and then that darn mentrual cycle came and it's back again. I'm so frusterated because I know it will get worse before it gets better again. I still can't decide if I should try medication since I am having times where I feel pretty "normal." Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. I've only had panic and anxiety for about 3 months, but I am so, so, so, so tired of it.

Hi Britt
sorry you are feeling kinda icky. Those pms symptoms can sure mess with us..ugh! There was a comedian I saw years ago that said she was going to change her license plates to PMS666
I laughed so hard. I guess I could relate some?! Anyway I hope things calm down again soon.
Are you working the attacking anxiety program?
Take care,
Jill~

Hey britterbug, I am soo with you on this!!! The rollercoaster effect is just soo annoying!! Sometimes I think it happens bcuz when we do feel better, we don't expect it to last, and so we start anticipating when is the nxt bout of body symptoms gonna come back, or I wonder how long this will last? So bcuz when we r feeling better we start looking for those feelings, and so they come back! I know it's hard to not do it, bcuz it is a struggle for me too. We just need to try to get into the habit and staying in the habit of when we have our goods days to keep thinking positive, and not anticipate the bad feelings or negative thoughts to come back, or wonder when the nxt time it will be when we have a bad day again. We control how we feel as far as this anxiety goes, that is something I am still working on! It will continue to get better for us very little by very little. Look how far we've already come. I remember some things Im used to go through that I have over came! I believe that someday we won't have these bad days anymore, they will just mysteriously dissappear, as long as we keep doing things to help it along!!! God bless, have a good day!!

I think we all go through this. We can't expect every day to be good and thank God that every day isn't bad! The way I look at it is to compare it to the stock market. Some days it's up and some days it's down. Some days it down right crashes! But over the long haul the general direction is up! That's the way with us too. As long as we keep on working, we'll continue to improve. Just don't expect it to be smooth sailing the entire way...

I hate to disagree but I think we CAN expect every day to be good! The deal is, not every day is good RIGHT NOW! The longer we work at it the better it becomes. We may never get rid of anxiety, which I dont want to, but we can get rid of anxiety attacks! I do like searunners way to look at it. I never thought of it like the stock market... Great idea!!!

There are so many things you can do to make things easier and feel better every day and not get those crazy mood swings:

1 - This program for sure
2 - Using a progesterone cream or supplement to even out your hormones
3 - Looking at your diet and what might be triggering your mood such as refined sugar, chocolate, caffeine, alcohol, meat (yes meat causes adrenaline rushes and highs & lows), overt amounts of fat, lack of fresh foods etc.
4 - Looking at your spirituality
5 - Getting daily exercise
6 - Getting social interaction
7 - How you are dealing with every day stress & pressure at work or home - are you overly-aggressive or a doormat - both could work to your disadvantage

That is just a start, and I don't know what's going on in your life, but you do, so look at all the different facets in your life, and see what is lacking in the balance.
