Does anyone else disagree? I've blacked out from them, I will regularly vomit from them, i've even gotten fevers several times when I have a panic attack. I don't know how this is for others, but my experience of them not causing actual, physical harm has not been true.

In fact I've gotten to the point where I accept them and just "go with the flow" while they happen, I still get incredibly sick... my heart isn't racing at all and I don't fight them, but my arms will be twitching, I will be vomiting and come down with chills etc.

Maybe it's not Anxiety that's causing the fevers and the chills etc...

Anxiety has many symptoms, but you can't blame everything on anxiety. I've never heard of anxiety causing fevers and chills.

RPanic....I do know you can get hold and cold flashes from panic attacks, but, I have never heard of anyone actually getting a fever from one, or blacking out...

Do you suffer from allergies???? A lot of people get low grade fevers from allergies, and don't even realize they have a fever, but, they just don't feel well...

Do you have migraine headaches??? These can cause vomiting...

I don't believe these are entirely anxiety-related symptoms...

When a person isn't feeling very well physically, it does tend to give that person more anxiety!!!

Have a great night...God Bless

When we say anxiety will not hurt you, we are referring to the fact that it will not kill you. You can still function. It's miserable beyond words sometimes. It's uncomfortable, but it will not kill you.

Anxiety can make you gag and it can make you feel nauseous at times, you will feel the chills and also you can get very warm (like hot flashes) but if you are throwing up, getting a fever and blacking out then you need to consult your doctor to see of the possibility of something else going on. I agree with Ms. T. Bones. Allergies or migraines are a possiblity.

This almost sounds to me like it could be seizures. Seizures can be brought on by stress... so you could have a negative cycle going on with that.

I've been through a long diagnostic process with a family member where it took a long time to find out what was really going on, because there were symptoms that could be both physical and emotional/mental. A good psychiatrist and a neurologist should be able to detect where these symptoms belong.

Best wishes!

I've had every medical test I can imagine over the years, biopsies of various organs etc. physically no doctor has been able to find anything wrong.

Xanax will stop the vomiting and get the fevers under control as well so it does seem to be tied in with the panic.

Have you had a sleep-deprived EEG done? My step-daughter went through a ton of tests and it took several years before they found out what was going on...

Thanks T, I did check out your thread and it was very informative.

Arwen, nope, I have not had that done. In fact I didn't even know they did them sleep-deprived, I'll have to look into that.
