Yes dear.

It's called General Anxiety Disorder. GAD.

Most of us have general anxiety 24/7. It feels like there's got to be something else wrong to have all of these symptoms 24 hours a day, but it's not. It's only anxiety. Focus on the program, and take the Doctors at their word on this one. Just the pressure of worrying that there's something wrong with you is increasing your anxiety.

We all go through this thinking. But eventually we've come to accept it.

Yes, it can last all day unfortunately. I have had periods of time where I have it when I go to bed, wake up with it, and have it all day. It is just anxiety. As the anxiety starts to lessen and you start to accept and not be as scared of the feelings, you will have moments of "being OK" which turn into minutes, hours, and eventually days and months. Try journaling to keep track of your symptoms and see if any triggers for your anxiety can be identified. Good luck!! You are not going crazy

Good advice here. Yes, there are times when it can be nearly constant. Focus on your breathing. Take long, slow breaths through your nose, into your abdomen and out of your mouth.

Also...stress and exhaustion can be triggers. You just have to remind yourself that the symptoms and sensations are caused by stress and this leads to anxiety. It's a vicious cycle. We need to keep working to break through. Hang in there....You're not alone in this.

Also, watch your diet. Make sure you're getting in plenty of water. Stay away from caffeine and other stimulants. Take time just to relax and take care of yourself. Are you following the program ?

I know exactly how you feel. I have had constant anxiety pretty much 24/7 since back in December. I had a death in the family, a nasty family conflict, and rumors that I might be losing my job. I saw my doctor and took efexor for a couple months. It helped while I took it, but as soon as I stopped the anxiety came back.
I really does suck because I can't shake it. It is always there in varing degrees. Mornings are the worst time for me. by the end of the day I feel pretty good, but it never really goes away. it is always there in the back of my mind nagging me. I really hate when after I feel good for a few minutes, I feel like I should be worrying and fall right back into it. I have just started the program and I hope it helps. I am able to divert my anxiety by focusing on TV or prayer or something, but that doesn't take away the problem. Hang in there. Try the program.
