Now I know that we are supposed to go through more difficulties when changing our habits on this program, but today I missed work because I felt so anxious and incapable of dealing with anything. I'm only on week 2. Can anyone tell me when it gets better after it gets worse?

For me, it got a little better everyday. I started off pretty bad. On week 2, I really had to force myself to do things like go to work. By the time I finished the program, I was able to do the things I wasn't able to. I still have attacks, but as soon as I feel one come on, it goes away fast ! Keep up with the homework and the relaxation and you will see that you will get better and better everyday. You can do this !

Hi Juno, I'm on session five, I really started seeing change after working on session 3, self talk, I was a very very negative self talker. Keep working the program, it will help you! Keep posting and reading, you'll find encouragement and will see you are not alone in this effort to overcome anxiety/depression. I will share with you I felt much more anxiety in session two just because I was facing my dysfunction instead of trying to ignore it. Kinda brings a lot up all at once. I think you are just about to turn the corner and see real improvement, don't give up. keep putting as much into the program as you can, then relax, change takes time. Be patient with yourself and give the program the chance to change you.

You are new to the program...Give yourself a break...You will succeed...It is perfectly normal to have a little more anxiety when beginning the program...Things will get much better soon...God Bless!!!!
