I am on nite 7 of taking the generic brand for zoloft and have not slept more than 2 hours per nite now. I am getting very frustrated. Before starting this my sleeping was bad at 5-6hours of restless sleep, this was suppose to help but obviously is not. Wondering if anyone taking this or has experience with zoloft can tell me if this gets better or should i switch to mornings. How do you function taking it in the mornings? okay? thanks for any help you can give me, as i dont see my doctor for another week and i dont know if i can last that long without sleep and not be grouchy.

I been taking the generic for zoloft since 2/17 but I take it in the morning and I do not have trouble sleeping.

I've never had that problem with Zoloft but everyone reacts differently. I had that reaction to Cymbalta and I hated it, yet some people swear by it. I would just try taking it in the morning instead and see if that helps.

For about a year or so I have been taking Zoloft and I take it in the morning along with Effexor XR. I Usually take Trazadone at night to help me sleep. What I have experienced with Zoloft is that it lefts my spirits and works with my existing medication. Sometimes I will be wide awake at night until I take my Trazadone. So maybe you can take it first thing in the morning. Are you taking anything else along with Zoloft?

Things will get better :)

When I first started taking it, I had trouble sleeping as well. Try taking it in the morning. The sleeplessness subsided for me. Hang in there!
