Has anyone struggled with PMS? Normally I haven't it's not so much the mood swings it's the waves of sadness that comes. I turned 40 in March and the last couple of months close to my cycle my emotions get out of sync. For no odd reason I want to cry. It bothers me because it lasts for a week or so. What can I do or take a vitamin to ease the feelings? I don't want to see the doctor because of meds they put you on.
What do I do? Trying to work through this.

I had to write to you. I suffer every month from this. One month the week before is anger, another month is sadness, and just for fun, this month it's both. I have tried: Yaz, antideps, xanax, watching my diet, etc. What has worked is accupuncture and chinese herbs. I use a Chinese Herb called Gather Vitality, which is a calming herb that I take once I star to ovulate. Do I still get teary? You bet, but its controlled and definitely not as extreme as before. Not sure if there is vitamins that can do the same thing. My ob/gyn and I talked and I found an accupuncturist who works with infertility and specific women's PMS issues. This has helped immensely. Also got me through the last 9 months post partum and has helped my panic and OCD episodes.
Good luck, Lucie
