Well, I am still around. I have now moved to FLorida and am starting to settle in. I have received a job offer and am supposed to start Monday. I am so scared because I still have so many of the symptoms--the unreality, spaciness, dizziness, IBS, hypochondraisis, freak-out moments---Things have been in such turmoil--recent move and we just bought a new house. I guess it's good turmoil but I am still having these same symptoms. Any advice or prayers would be great!! the unreality is still the worst---that and always worrying about dying....

Starting any new enterprise is always stressful. Start your new job being as open minded and flexible as you can. Plan your first day out- what time you need to get up & how long to get ready for the day. Plan your route to work. Know ahead of time who you are to report to and what time to be at work. The strategy here is to eliminate as many unknowns as you can by planning the steps out and following them in a logical order. As for the anxiety, just accept that you may feel some anxious symptoms and take them out the door with you. Don't fight it but accept that this new venture may be a little stressful and practice your 6 steps as needed to diffuse the anxiety. Just remember that there is no real danger and you don't have to escape from anything. It takes time to change the irrational thoughts that create our anxiety and sometimes a new job is something that helps us snap out of these patterns. So keep looking at this as something positive and practice self-care and follow a plan for the first day to get yourself through. You'll do fine- come back and let us know how it went! Best of luck.

Starting a new job is always stressful. Once you settle in, things will be ok. I have trouble telling myself that sometimes (actually most of the time.) One thing that I do know is that the feelings won't last forever. Good luck to you on your new job.
