Does anyone get muscle tension in their back, chest and neck during or after a panic attack. I notice this is how my panic attacks come on now. I can feel the muscles in my back and chest tense up and I think this can be part of the problem not being able to breath during these episodes. I get a spacey feeling in my head, feel dizz and my body hurts after. Can anyone relate?

Dear Rosalie 1,
You would not be normal if you didn't experience these feelings during an anxiety or panic attack..
These symptoms are your body's way of preparing yourself, if you were in true danger.

You are perfectly normal and healthy. This is coming from someone who was an agoraphobic and lived in a panic attack for 21 years of my life...You are healthy, safe and fine...God Bless!!!

I used to always have muscle pain in my neck and shoulder area when i'm stressed out but lately I've been having the muscles in my back and chest area spasm or get tight and sore with anxiety. It's a new symptom but it's not freaking me out because I know it's just anxiety.
