My worst "what if" isnvolves weather phobia. I'm terrified of foul weather. Typing is difficult -almost not possible- the fear is so intense. I what if about all bad things that could surround foul weather. I've worked through the program once years ago and am now going through again. I've been doing well... until the next weather episode. Terror and what if are unbearable again. Help. Does anyone else have a similar problem?? How do you handle it??

I have weather phobia to a degree. At one point in my life it was terrifying. I still do not like severe snow or ice storms as I get the feeling of being "trapped" inside my house. However, I have worked through most of it through the help of a great psychologist who taught me relaxation techniques, visualization and meditation.

I still do not like snow or ice, but I fear storms less than I used to. I use distraction like playing games, listening to music, etc. It has taken me a long time to get where I am and I am still getting better with severe weather, and I know you can get better with it as well.

If all else fails for the time being, come on here and get into the online chat for some help during the rough times. BUT, use the program (I have gone through it twice), especially try using the relaxation cd and perhaps download some good cd's on meditation and relaxation.

You'll be fine. I was there - - - it will get better! God Bless!

Thank you so much for your encouragement. It seems like such a dumb thing to fear. I'm happy to hear that others have been there and now feel better. I'm working the program. My copy is so old I'm using the relaxation tape, not CD!! Thank you.
