want to connect with someone on same level

hi everyone,
i am not new to this program. i am going through it again. i have received help from it, but feel like i could use more. i also felt more positive when i went through it before cause i was on zoloft. but due to no insurance i am not on meds. i am taking fish oil and vitamins, which i think help a little. i seem to be feeling things more than i use to. this kind of scares me, but at the same time keeps me wanting to do the program so i can feel stronger than i did before cause i am doing the program even though it's not as easy to do as it was before. i am also thinking about trying some herbs to help where the meds use to. i know Lucinda said there is no shame in using medication if you feel you need it and to be glad it is there.
well, i am beginning session 2. it was a bit panicky for me listening to the CD today. i felt overwhelmed like "i don't know if i can do this". one thing though that stuck out to me was when Lucinda said something about noticing your body symptoms when you are having a panic attack and tell yourself "it's just anxiety". the reason this seemed encouraging to me is because when im having the anxiety attack, the fear seems so real to me. and yet, i also question the reality of it cause other people don't seem to be bothered. so, if i pay attention to the feelings and tell myself "it's ok, it's just anxiety", that may help me take some of the fear away and not be thinking so much "yeah but what if" thoughts. it can be hard getting through those thoughts, cause it's like i am afraid to let go of the thoughts.
this program helped before. i will be patient with myself.
anyone who wants to tag along and keep in contact, i would welcome it.

Hi, I think it will help to remind yourself that it is a gradual process. Be proud of how far you've come and stick with it. Write down some positive affirmations and keep them with you always to look through. Here are some examples:

"I'm so strong for even beginning this program again. I'm only going to get stronger and better from here."

"This program has helped so many people, even people who were much worse than me. Of course it's going to help me!"

"Everything happens for a reason, and this too shall pass!"
