I want to feel better fast

Post by anonymous27 » Mon Jan 09, 2012 11:24 am

I had been managing for a while, but now this depression has been overtaking me. I don't even know what to write on this post. Thoughts are jumbling around in my head, I just want to scream, "get out thoughts!"

How can I help myself to feel better? I want to feel better right now.

What can I do? any suggestions?

I did some dancing in my house this morning. That helped me to feel better. Now I will take my dog for a long walk outside.

Try exercising as well. It helps. You can also listen to your favorite music. ;)

working this program will help you learn to make yourself feel better also. Being able to talk yourself into feeling good. Starting your day on the right foot can help also. I have been trying to get up a little before everyone else and just taking sometime for me. In this time I try to spend 5 minutes thinking of happy things. I will count my blessings or think of someone else that may be feeling down or what not and just picture them and wish them a day filled with happiness and love.
It's realizing only you can make you feel better!! :)

Depression is so frustrating and makes you feel so bad, I know it's hard. Keep going with the program. Sometimes it helps to listen to the welcome CD again for me, gives me hope as to what the program can do for us. The CD Feel Better Fast sometimes helps to, because it goes over affirmations like this:

I like myself. I am working to improve myself, to be stronger. Like myself for who I am today. I will feel even stronger tomorrow and even stronger in six months to a year.

There are a lot of good things about me. I am talented, I am loving. I am confident.

I am positive. I radiate good feelings. I am full of life. I love life, I am very glad to be alive.

I am intelligent. I am interested in new things and ready for new challenges.

I have a lot of energy. I am exciting and I enjoy my own company. People enjoy being around me.

I am sincere and honest. I am a real person. I feel good about my weaknesses and strengths. I accept myself for who I am. I am working toward being even better.

I enjoy feelings of excitement. I want to feel life. I enjoy feeling alive.

I deserve to be happy, to feel content. I have a right to go after the things I want in life. I will achieve them.

I am hardworking, enthusiastic and energetic. I am special.

I am a good problem solver. I am confident in my ability to make decisions. There is no problems that I can't conquer. My strength is greater that any problem I might be faced with. Problems are just opportunities to grow.

Lines, traffic, crowds, and waiting don't bother me. I don't mind spending time being patient. There really is no emergency.

I can accomplish anything I want. Nothing cant stand in my way. I am strong. I am in control of my life.

I feel calm. I have peace of mind. It is good to let my mind clear, to let thoughts drift in and out. I feel relaxed, I feel soothed. I feel comfortable.

Just know your in a place where people understand take care. :)

Part of the program says to "slow down" and that really works for me.
When my mind is racing and I have too many thoughts at one time
I try to "slow down". I have a great Yoga relaxation CD that I bought
a while back and if I lay down and relax and listen to the CD it really,
really helps. It is amazing how just one hour of relaxing and slowing
down makes a difference in how I feel.
