My work is the main cause of my depression in so many way, but with the job market like it is, its almost impossible to find another job so I have to make do, I have a family to support.

I'm just so passive at work, people just walk over the top of me, whether it be doing other peoples work or jobs no one else want to do, I wouldn't care if it would earn me brownie points or whatever with the boss but it isn't even recognized what I do, On Session 2 a guy says

"We are the movers and shakers of the world, if you want something done come to us, not only will we do it in super quick time we will do it perfect"

That really does apply to me, I did build up the courage once to point out I was doing more than anyone else and it was unfair I always get the rubbish jobs no one else wants, I was rudely told "If you don't like it go home" So I mean thats what you have to contend with.

So how do you deal with this situation? Or even be less effected by it?

Whatever you do, don't blow your stack and lose control to anger like I did. That's more damaging and bound to make them lose respect for you than anything else. I know what I'm talking about from my own experience.

Play this cool. Think it through. Be smart. If you're already doing the work think how you can use this to your advantage. I'm not sure if this helps. Somehow you have to let them know how valuable you are to them.
