Hi,
I have been watching Lucinda's infomercials for years but after seeing several different therapists and trying several medications, I pretty much figured why waste more money that I really don't have.
I purchased one of her books (From Panic to Panic)last year and while it did help some, I know I need more. I am hoping someone can give me some advice. I want to try the program but I am scared because I feel like it is my last resort because I have tried everything else and if it doesn't work then there really is no hope for me to ever get better.
So here is where I stand: Currently I take .5mg of Klonopin in the morning. I have constant fears of becoming ill and dying and not being there for my husband and kids. I pretty much feel like I am living to die at this point which makes me sad because on the outside everyone sees me as someone who is always bubbly and smiling but on the inside and to my husband and kids, it's taking a toll. I don't want my kids to see me like this, they deserve better.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me and I am sorry for the long post.
New to the site and looking for advice

Hi,
Let me start off by saying you are in the right place to get help, I went through the program back in 08 and can honestly say my life has changed 100% Do I still have a bad day? Sure but even the worst day know is NOT as bad as the best day with Panic and Anxiety. The program will help you I'm sure of it. Break through the that wall of fear and take that first step to real peace of mind and FREEDOM you can be "fixed"
don't give up. You have a army of people that will help you start your journey

Welcome and I think you've come to the right place. I went through Lucinda's program thanks to my parents 3 years ago. I think the best thing I learned was that anxiety wasn't going to kill me. Whether is was the 45 minutes to town I was driving, an hour wait in the doctor's office, or being a stay at home mom (from a very busy working mom) living out in the middle of no where and alone with a child ALL day, I learned to handle each situation. I learned so much from her tapes and from other people's experiences. Coming here too is so wonderful because the people understand and relate and offer support, advice and help when needed. It is a great place to share ups as well as downs. I encourage you to give the tapes a shot. I think you will be glad you did. Best wishes to you.
"Here and happy because of my three little angels- Marie, Chad and Cady."
May I echo the comments of others in that this program is great. I took it several years ago and it helped me immensely. This past couple of years have been an anxious and stressful time for me and so I am retaking it and, again, it is helping me a lot. I am even learning things I missed the first time around.
I want to take a moment to say that 0.5 mg of klonopin in the morning is not nearly a therapeutic dosage. You should talk with your doctor about adjusting that. Also, you may want to try an antidepressant for awhile just to take the edge off and feel better. There are some out there that are not at all addictive. I am not a drug pusher, far from it, I hate taking them myself... but sometimes we need that little extra help.
Finally, have you seen a therapist that knows cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)? You may want to try that also. That really helped me a lot.
Take care and good luck!

Welcome, I'm waiting Lucinda's CD's but I've had CBT training help with a Psychologist using Dr David Burns book, Good Mood therapy, that helped me before I even saw a therapist that used his workbook year ago. So now I'm experiencing anxiety in a different way now so I'm glads to have been introduced to Lucinda's intro CD and have come here. So nice to be able to talk to others that are experiencing many of the same symptoms as I am.
There is a lot of good advice here that I think will help you out. Take Care.
