Hi everyone, my name is Colin and I have attempted the program 3 times before. I think my problem was expectations within myself. I felt as though I was not doing every lesson well. This caused me to experience even more anxiety which made me quit. Well, I recommited to see it through this time, but I got stuck on week 3. I always felt like I could not fit it in to my busy 14 credit college life. I never get the sessions completed in the 7 day shedule, which ends up being a 10-12 day one. This causes me to boubt myself, causing more anxiety. I have even stopped exercising. Is this normal for those going through the program? If so, how can I over come these road blocks? I have to change! I've lived with this since I was 8 years old. I'm now 44. Someone please help. Thank you.

Colin

Hi Colin, I too have fallen away form the program with my busy work schedule. Like you I got into week three or session three as I call it and stopped. I found it to be hard, having to write down all my negative thoughts, There where a lot. Then having to write down a positive thought to go alone with it. It's hard having to teach yourself to think positive when you are your own worse critic. After having to writing down all the negative things I thought I started to think that this activity was stupid and then I would have to wright down that negative thought too. It be came a endless cycle, plus it was giving me more anxiety. So I put it down for a week or 2 and forgot all about it when I started to get those same panic feelings back. Then I had to remind myself that you have not completed the hole program yet. You still have a long way to go. But like the types say "Take as long as you like the tapes are yours. You have them for your life. Move at your own pace. You don't have to rush". So don't doubt yourself take as long as you need. Think about it, your Anxiety didn't happen over night and this recovery is not going to ether. It is a process that takes time just like it took time for you to get to the way your are today. Its just a matter for finding some motivation and that can be hard too. Thank you for posting this it has help me and I hope that I have helped you. Good Luck in you progress. Jennifer

Hey Jen, it's nice to know its not only hard for me but for others too. You and I have too try our best to pick up where we left off. Nothing worth having comes easy. Infact it's damn hard, but thats the journey we are on and have to stay on. Lets communicate often, so we can encourage each other to see it through, if that's ok with you. Let me know. We both need help to complete this.

Your friend, Colin
