Has anyone ever faced moving out of their childhood home in the past? I mean LIVING there after your parents have passed on and you took over everything? I need to know what you did to overcome the grief, depression and what interventions you enforced to help you through this transition. Hope there is someone that I can relate to.

Hey CC
sorry I was going to post earlier but got too busy with other stuff. Anywhooo. I have never had to go thru what you are going thru but I would assume I one would have to grieve the change just like you would any kind of loss. I know I went online and found pics of my childhood home and it has been altered and it made me sad. Sometimes I wish I could go back and buy that house but it's now such a Horrible hood I wouldn't want to live in. What I miss most about the house is the memories, the good ones anyway and the special memories of my parents and so on.We have lots of pictures so that helps some and I try to recreate the good feelings in my current apartment. I even did the same decor for a while in my twenties. With my first marriage and home. But that changed too. Anyway I feel for ya. I know change is so hard but I know leaving my childhood home brought me so many amazing opportunities I KNOW I never would have experienced had I not moved on.I will be thinking of you and praying you can make peace with it. And take LOTS of pics in the meantime :)
hugs,
Jill~
