Hi~ I get probably 3-4 days a week where I will feel my heart skip. It only happens once or twice during the day, but each time, it really changes my mood. I'm just looking to see if someone can relate and if anyone who has gone thru these and "got over it" can help me. It's hard to just ignore them when it's your heart. I feel it always in my throat, where I feel a choking sensation for a few seconds and when I feel my pulse, there is a pause before my heart starts beating again. I know this is normal, but I'm having a hard time dealing with these. I have had them for about six years nows on and off. I can go months without them and bam, they come back and set me back down. I just have major fears around my heart. Fear of heart attack, fear of exercising cause of the fast heart rate, fear of a any fast pulse basically.

Thanks!

Hi Zeus, I have been through this also. It started with me about 2 years ago. I would feel it in my throat also and then it would seem as if my heart stopped for a minute. I would put my finger on my neck to feel the pulse and it would take a moment to get it. I was terrified. My anxiety would kick in and I'd be in a full blown panic attack in seconds. I was so scared to go to the doctor. FINALLY, 2 months ago I went to a good cardiologist. I wore the halter monitor for 24 hours, had an EKG, an ultrasound to make sure my carotid arteries were clear, an ultrasound of my heart, and a nuclear stress test. All results were negative. The doctor said it was absolutely stress related and that i was having a premature heart beat when I felt stressed. I would feel that coming from my upper stomach into my chest. (Very scary). A little while after this I order Lucinda's program. I am on week 4 right now and I have seen so many changes in the way I can handle my physical symptoms. I can say to myself "i'm okay, it's just anxiety". I've also been to other specialists for physical symptoms only to get negative reports. I always wished there was a magic pill they could give me. Well, there isn't. We create our own magic by changing our thoughts.

I don't know if you've gone to a doctor about this, but sometimes that puts your mind at ease and you can follow the program more fully.

Hope this helps! I'm willing to bet that you are very well physically, just keep working on the mind. Thoughts only thoughts. Remember to stay in the moment and breathe.

Hi, One more thing I wanted to add. Please stay off the caffeine if you're drinking coffee or eating chocolate. It contributes so much to the heart symptoms.

I am on Bispropal for my heart, I have a damaged heart so mine does do that. The meds help me It is rare for it to mean anything at all, however mine did.
