Wow this session is hard. I know that I think negatively but I never realized how many times a day I say bad things to myself, like works going to be so hard, i can't wait until this day is over etc... so I went out today and bought my little notebook and I also saw these cute stickers with smiley faces that say things like good job and nice try. So I started writing down my neg thoughts and replacing them with positive ones and as I'm doing it I thought every time I have a positive thought, I'll put a sticker next to it encouraging myself and then I thought what am I 10 years old and I need a sticker to tell me I did a good job?? There goes those neg thoughts again. It's so easy to fall back into it. I'm excited about this session. Has anyone else felt this was hard to do?

Hi GI822,

I also found Session #3 to be hard. I actually spent 2 weeks on it, then moved on. Once I started writing down all my negative thoughts, it scared me. I had a hard time with the positive. But I stuck to it, and I now find myself catching the negatives thoughts quickly, saying, stop, is that a valid thought. Almost everytime the answer is no.

I love the idea of the happy stickers. I draw happy faces in my journal when I have done something I thought I couldn't/wouldn't do.

I'm going to buy some happy stickers....lots of them.

Thanks

Thanks, Seahorse. It makes me feel better to know that someone else was having trouble too and maybe I'll spend a little more time on it like you did. And we'll both use the happy stickers to help motivate us :D

Hi, I found lesson 3 difficult, and also took longer to go thru it. Lesson 4 is the same thing...harder. But I expect it to be difficult. Many of the things Linda says hits home so much that I thought she was talking just to me. But it all has helped. I too, put happy stickers all over the house. Just as a reminder every time I see them. Take the extra time to do the lesson thoroughly. It's worth the time.
