Call Things as Though They Are

Today's Scripture

"…the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were" (Romans 4:17, NIV)

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

Your Words have creative power. Just as God calls things that are not as though they were, we should also declare what we want to see in our lives. In other words, you may have days when you don't feel well, but don't go around saying, "Ah, my back has been hurting me. I'm getting so old. I don't think I'm ever going to get better."When you speak like that, you are speaking defeat into your future. Instead, turn it around. Declare a report of victory by saying, "I may not feel up to par, but I know it's only temporary. God is restoring health unto me. I'm getting stronger, healthier, and feeling younger. My best days are still up ahead."

Remember, you're going to get what you call in to your life. You have creative power in your words, and you are prophesying your future. Declare what God says about you–that you are blessed and you cannot be cursed, that you are above only and not beneath! As you call things that are not as though they were, you will see God's wonderful promises and blessing come to pass in every area of your life!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, thank You for entrusting me with Your power. I choose to declare words of life and victory. Help me, Holy Spirit, to use my words to move forward in victory the way You

I have known this for a long time-that is speaking what you want and not what you see. I have realy been struggling with this in past few months and have seen the results of it. Not so good. Even this morning on the way to work, I prayed for God to help me with this but I found myself again moaning and groaning to my coworkers. It feels like a stronghold lately and am having a difficult time stopping. I pray that God will keep the door of my lips and put a guard over my mouth that I speak his promises and stop this nonsense! Pray for me too please. Thanks!
I did enjoy your postbook of psalms and in the past I have read MOM's posts too and they help. I had temporarily stopped the program, basically I have been distracted. I want to start back up. I have completed session 8 and it really helped. Thanks all for your help and encouraging words.

Hi BookofPsalms,

I enjoyed reading your post. I love watching Joel, myself. My husband and I, used to watch his father...It hurt us deeply when he passed away...

I remember when Joel first took over the ministry. He was so shy, and had a lot of difficulty speaking in front of people. Looks like the Good Lord has blessed him...
He definitely teaches some inspirational messages...

When you get the time, you may want to read my latest miracle. This happened after the ice-storm which hit our area...

Look forward to talking to you in the chat room...God Bless
