Terms of Service

Welcome. Thank you for choosing to participate in StressCenter’s growing online community. Our goal is to provide a safe, friendly meeting place where people can find the information and peer support they need to get the very most out of the Combatting Stress and Depression Program Program.

The community resources we provide are guided by the following "Community Values":

We believe that people have the power to change their own lives.

We believe everyone has something valuable to contribute.

We encourage you to treat all community members the way you want to be treated.

StressCenter is committed to these principles and we believe that our community members should honor them as well. The success of our forums and chat rooms depend upon the quality posts of our participants. We are proud of the success of our forums and give our thanks to those who have chosen to make our forums and chat rooms their online home. To ensure continued success we are posting these guidelines so that all participants of StressCenter forums and chat rooms understand what is considered unacceptable behavior in the forums and can result in a temporary suspension or a permanent ban.

Only when everyone embraces the Community Values and adheres to our Terms of Service will the entire community continue to find it a helpful, educational and enjoyable place to meet and socialize.

Stress Center reserves the right to reveal your identity in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you. Simply put, if you attempt to slander or maliciously harm others thru our site or post inappropriate personal information about people's personal lives you will be revealed to them. Not only your Email address but also your IP address. All Internet services keep logs of when and what IP number was assigned to whom during all connections.

Considering the real-time nature of this bulletin board, it is impossible for us to review messages or confirm the validity of information posted. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the contents of posted messages and are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of Stress Centre or any entity associated with this BB. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use www.stresscenter.com [Stress Center forums or chat] to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violation of any law. Although Stress Center does not and cannot review all the messages posted and is not responsible for the content of any of these messages, we reserve the right to delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stress Center and their agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s). Please note that advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are inappropriate on the forum or in the chat rooms.
