Hi:

I have progressed to secession three and started to have difficulty writing sown all my negative emotions—seems to increase my anxiety. I mainly have moderate to sever bought of anxiety and depression when I wake up in the AM. This situation has affected my work. It makes me emotionally and physically drained. It’s hard to reframe my negative thoughts—they are obsessive. I use to just have situational anxiety, anticipating social events and public speaking, however, my anxiety has now become a daily battle. I contemplate if this daily battle is a spiritual attack from the devil. I am also having blood work done to check to see if any of my hormones are out of wack.(Has anyone heard of male menopause?) I am trying not to use any meds, but it is difficult to make it through, some days. I pray to the Lord intently and have asked Him to remove the pain, however I know His Grace is sufficient for us. I am taking two or more weeks with secession three due to maintaining a vigil at a nursing home. My mother-in-law passed away last Saturday. I ask for your prayers

Hi Mossman.

Anxiety symptoms and fears change often. At one point you may have certain fears and body symptoms, then those may go away and different ones may come. Also anxiety gets better and worse until you get the tools to calm them down. Keep doing the program, you will learn how to deal with this and one day this problem will be a distant memory.

Practice using your positive self talk. The more you try, the easier it will become. A lot of people have more anxiety in the mornings. Go out and get yourself some Chamomile tea, it will help you to relax more. Also, make sure you use your relaxation tape at least 3 times a day. You don't have to lie down with all three, you can listen while doing things around the house.

Mossman, you will get better as long as you keep practicing.

Take care. DeeDee.

I completely understand your feeling of being spiritually attacked. If you go to my profile and click on my posts, you will see where I posted about spiritual attack and the responses I got.

I can tell you that it will get better.

Read Psalm 139 and then memorize this verse and repeat it when you feel anxious:

"God did not give me the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind." - 2 Timothy 1:7
