Afraid

I know this sounds really wierd... but i am afraid of taking pills.. all kinds of pills no matter what kind.

I'm suffering from stomach ulcers and acid reflux along wtih bladder and urethra pain hopefully caused by the stomach acid..

I have a box of Prilosec in my hands and i am terrified of taking one of the pills. I mean it is for ulcers and acid reflux.. it shouldn't hurt me should it?

I'm a little nervous and i may just wait it out today and take this pill tommorrow ... i've been putting it off alot. I can hardly eat anything my acid reflux is so bad..

Are there any natural ways to get rid of Acid Reflux?

Also if there is anyone else on here who is afraid to take pills please let me know your story.

I can COMPLETELY relate. I have a hard time taking antibiotics. My husband always ask me why even go to the doc you know you wont take what they give you. You are not alone on this one.

Don't be afraid of the Prilosec. I started taking it a few days ago -- I have no side effects. Don't be afaid of it. I am taking it with xanax.

I would like to ask you, what kind of doctor did you go to for your diagnosis? I went to a general family doc. I am just wondering if I should go to a specialist. I am wondering if I got the correct diagnosis.

Prilosec is a fine drug - go ahead and take it. It will make you feel better.

Hi there,
I can relate totally! I am afraid to take pills of all kinds also. I am even afraid to take VITAMINS!! Yes-vitamins! I won't take any for fear of side effects. I have some and I did take them for one day and I felt strange-not sure if it was in my head or what. I am thinking that it is in my head.However, I do take my allergy meds when needed but I still break it in half! (LOL) I will say that I am extremely sensitive to meds though. I tend to have side effects so I am a bit fearful of meds.
