Sometimes I get this feeling in my throat that's hard to describe but it feels like for only a few seconds that someone has put their hand around my throat, so almost like a choking sensation. In the past when I have felt this, I instantly put my hand on my pulse and can feel a skip. Sometimes though, I don't feel the skip and I don't know if the skipped happpend already in those cases and I missed 'catching it.' I can say that most times I get this feeling, I'm leaning forward or maybe squating down and moving around (like putting my son's jacket on). When I get this sensation it freaks me out a bit and I instantly think my heart has stopped (again, because in the past I have felt the heart skipping).
anyone else get this?
Choking feeling in throat?
I've had that sensation in the past before I knew it was my anxiety. Always felt like my throat was constricting and I couldn't breath well. After I found out it was anxiety caused (My mother had the same thing)I calmed down about it and stopped getting those sensations. Funny how that happens sometimes. I don't recall though, if I also had skipped heart beats. Skipped heart beats now and then (per my doctor) can be fairly common but it is a good idea to have it checked.
