Welcome Isha,
You did a good thing by posting for help. We don't have all the answers especially medical ones. But we will help to get you through to the best of our abbilities.

Have you seen a doctor regarding your periods? Are you premenapausal or taking birth control?
I have known many women throughout my life that had irregular periods and for different reasons. I can't say why you do as I'm not a doctor and don't know what is the cause. All I do know is a lot of women when stressed will have changes in their cycle. Best to seek advice from a medical person on that issue. Sorry!!

So far as the sleep issue goes I lived with that for many years and it's so much like a viscious circle with us. Stress & depression stop us from shutting off our minds when we try to sleep at night and lack of sleep triggers more stress and anxiety and depression. It's a hard circle to break but it can be done.

Are you taking any presribed meds for your anxiety, depression, etc. Are you eating a lot of sugars, drinking or eating anything with caffein? What do you eat?

So many factors affect us in every way immaginable so really we need more info to try and help you feel better before your program arrives. You can send me a private message if you don't wish to post some personal things. I will do my best to help you or anyone else.

Try to calm yourself down, do some deep breathing which is 2 inhales by nose counting 1- 1 thousand, 2 - 1 thousand and try to breathe with your abdomen and not chest. When you exhale do it through your mouth and counting 1-4 1 thousand. So you are slowing your breathing down. Do this until you feel more relaxed. Also go for a walk if you can, do something, anything to try and get your mind on something pleasant, this is as simple as looking at how much beauty may surround you, saying thankyou for everything & everyone you love, anything that makes you feel good.
You must try to stop thinking bad thoughts and I know it's not easy but it can be done. Just focus on good things!!

I hope this was in someway helpfull and know others will help also. Mt heart goes out to you as do my prayers.

I will check for your posts off and on today.

Best Wishes,
Deborah

Hi. Have you seen your gyn in the last year to check your hormones? I'm not sure your age, but could menopause be coming?
I have real big sleep issues also. If I had to go back I'd ask to try Rozerm first. It's non habitforming and is supposed to re-regulate your melatonin within 2 weeks. We have t have sleep to function and anxiety is very hard to combat on lack of sleep.
Please PM me anytime if I can help.

Hey
I want you to know that I am going through the same thing right now. I can't sleep cause my bad thoughts are controlling me. And whenever I do almost fall asleep my heart races and I end up waking up again. It sucks, doesn't it? And in the back of all the pleasant thoughts is still the bad negative thoughts of anxiety. I still haven't found a way to get rid of this, but I have noticed that when I drink pop (caffeine) it really does get worse. I have basically an addiction to pop haha weird I know and it's hard for me to quit. But maybe if you are drinking things with caffeine (or eating) it would help to reduce them and then start to quit them? The program I think talks about it a little bit. If you don't drink caffeine, well then just do stuff to entertain yourself and you will eventually fall asleep. That is what I'm doing right now. If you read the blog I just posted you will know what I'm going through...so you are not alone.

Hope you feel better.
Maybe you should use the relaxation tape when you get this way too. It will help you reduce the anxiety, and you will probably accidently fall asleep during it without even trying haha.
