Just a hello to everyone here. I have had a battle with depression and anxiety/panic attacks for 13 years. Been on Paxil, now am using Effexor.

Just started StressCenter program. Like all of you, I would love to get my life back.

The Effexor does seem to help, but I still have my bad days. I believe it works better for me than the Paxil.

Hi, Tadpole. I've been suffering with depression since I was in my 30's, so that is 28 years now. I don't want to waste any of my life! I've been through two divorces, retirement, daughters going off to college, death of a nephew, my brother & my mother-in-law. She had a massive stroke, was on a feeding tube, but her mind was good. This went on for 2 1/2 years. I dislike writing my feelings and I hate journaling. I guess I just hate to deal with my depression. But it is time to stand up to it once and take control. Let's do it together!

Hey all !

I've had anxiety and depression now for about 25 to 30 years. Even after that time, I now have a bad hour or morning, not day. I'm on week 10 now and the program is really working for me. I never thought that I'd actually have a good day.

Friends, thank you all for your replies. I am on my second week with the program. I have had the program for nearly a month and a half, and was debating on whether to start or not. I guess some of you know that feeling. But I decided I had to do something and get started.

My biggest problem with anxiety/depression has always been my job. The insecurities and the unknowns of any job today causes me the greatest worry. I am 53 years old, and I some years to go before I can retire.
