Hello,
I have gone through the program before and it helped me alot. I really was peaceful and joyous inside.
My life has been really bumpy the last 2 years including divorce.
I would like to know if there's anyone out there who is doing the program again and how they feel.
I'm so apprehensive with the garbage thoughts in my head....
Thanks to all of you.
M
Starting again after 5 years
Hi Martin,
I did the program for the first time in 1994. It helped me so much then. I was able to quit taking xanax, I changed jobs, I felt empowered and strong. But as life goes along and you get things thrown your way, its easy to slip back into those old ways. Well, long story short, after marriage and 2 kids and 3 moves, I was facing daily panic attacks once again. I reordered the program in 2004 and redid it with a Stress center coach. It really helped me alot the second time around and I was panic free for 2 years. I am able to do so much more than I ever could before, which makes life so much more tolerable!! I am grateful to have been able to expand my "safety" zones so that I can be a good mother and function as such!
I think we will always be prone to relapses, or "growth spurts" as they call them, at least I know I am. But with the skills we have learned, it need not put us back to square one. It sounds like you have had some major life stressors recently and I think redoing the program is a great idea!! Hey, it cant hurt!! Good luck, feel free to pm me if you need to talk or come into the chat room, lots of great folks in there. Take care.

I'm doing the program again and again. I know I will get better. I was better the first time right away. I've had some bumps along the way and it's been hard getting thru because stressful things are still happening and other things are still not getting resolved. I recently finished with a coach. Who knows where I'd be right now without this program. Glad to hear you're doing it again. Things will improve for you, just like they will for me.
Hi Martin,
I am starting the program again myself. I first did the program in 2004 with success! But like you I am going through a divorce and something like that can bring back alot of our old feelings such as panic and depression. So far it's helping me and I'm only on lesson 2. So I wish you luck with the program.

Thank you all for your support.
I am so afraid of not "getting better". My thoughts are so often on myself and that "I already know all this stuff and look where I am". The negative racing thought are even more of a struggle right now than the anxiety itself. It's like a constant battle going on in my head.
I have not heard of the coaching available through Stress. Can someone please explain it to me? I know we can call in sometimes but can I have a personal coach?
THanks
Martin

Yes you will have your own personal coach call once a week for l/2 to an hour. It's not cheap but if you're fortunate you can get your insurance to pay some or you can pay big bucks to talk to Lucinda personally for an hour. You can PM me if you want cuz I might get in trouble for even saying that. I've had some posts deleted lately.
