Monday's seem to very difficult for me. Clearly I'm setting myself up. When I have an aniexty attack it seems to linger all day. I can't seem to get it "off" me. I am hopeful however. I do have one question, my left arm and hand experience varying degree's of discomfort when I'm having an attack. What is this? There are times it is very painful.
Thanks for listening.
3 Days into sesion 2
Hi Red,
The pain in your arm is your anxiety. Sometimes when I am experiencing anxiety, my upper left arm hurts and in tends to linger for awhile. Sometimes it's moderate and sometimes it can be more intense. I first I was scared, I thought I was having a stroke or a heart attack. I went to the doctor and they checked me out and told me nothing was wrong. Then I started realizing that the pain would only come when I was anxious. That seems to be what's going on with you.

I get numbness in my right arm. It's been like this for many months. It can be exacerbated by an anxiety attack. It might be due to a subluxation and my husband is certain that I should have a chiropractic adjustment (since I haven't had one in well over a year) and see if that helps some, in addition to going through the program and learning to cope with the anxiety and depression in a way that trends towards healing.
Have you considered chiropractic adjustments? Just a thought.

Hi all. I just got done with session 2 and I still can't believe there will be no more panic attacks. I have one almost everyday and anxiety just follows me everywhere. I was on an anti-depressant for 11 years and it stopped working so they had me on numerous others trying to find one that worked. Well, I had enough and I'm trying to do it on my own now with this program. I just don't know if it'll work. Did anyone else feel this way when you first started the program?
LOL...
Of course jennmorgan. We all think we are the worst case and nothing will help us. I have told others my situation, but I will tell you as well...
I had SEVERE agoraphobia (Wouldn't walk outside for a period of time) & panic disorder. I tried Drs, meds, books...you name it. I was pretty bad..had attacks all day.
I got the program and it took awhile because I was so extreme...but it worked! I totally recovered where I never thought about it and experienced no problems or limitations from it. Didn't think about it, and didn't have any physical symptoms anymore.
You have to do the homework and stick with it. If your anxiety is very extreme it may take a litte longer, it may not...but just stick with it. After you go through the program, go through it again if you still struggle with certain areas.
Don't be discouraged because you have listened to session 2 and done a little of the homework and you still have attacks or high anxiety. The KEY here is this...the following sessions will help with session two. Also, it is going to be doing the homework over and over again that is going to change you. And it will. IT IS ABSOLUTELY NORMAL TO STILL FEEL LIKE NOT MUCH HAS CHANGED THIS EARLY IN THE PROGRAM
