It seems pretty mundane, but my husband and I are almost done painting the basement with Dryloc. This would have been impossible 6 months ago due to my chemical phobia. The smell of this stuff is vile but it's not making me panic and make excuses why I can't help my husband. A few times those old feelings crept back but I talked myself out and it worked!!!!! :D By the way I finished the program in December and am delighted with the results.

Great! That's awesome. I used to have a chemical phobia too. I painted a room in my apartment months ago and it sent me into a panic spiral, because I was so terrified of the chemicals! It's awesome that you did so well, seeing as this a very common fear for those of us with anxiety issues. yay horray!

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
Frank Herbert

"How you climb up the mountain is just as important as how you get down the mountain. And, so it is with life, which for many of us becomes one big test followed by one big lesson. In the end, it all comes down to one word: grace. It's how you accept winning and losing, good luck and bad luck, darkness and the light."

How wonderful!! That is a huge step. Not only have you received help from the program, no panic from the chemicals but also a basement that looks better and probably a happy husband too. Keep up the good work!
