Refuse to Worry
Today's Scripture
"Who of you by worrying can add a single minute to his life" (Matthew 6:27).
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
God doesn't want you to live worried and anxious about anything. He knows that worry is counterproductive. It steals your peace and joy and affects every area of your life, even your sleep! Have you heard the saying, "Don't worry yourself sick?" Yes, worrying will actually make you physically ill. You won't ever gain anything by worrying, in fact it causes you to lose precious moments that you can never live again. The good news is, God has promised to bring you victory over worry. When you make the choice to put an end to worry, God will give you His peace.
Decide today to put an end to worry in your life. Don't feed worry by focusing on bad news all the time. Sure, we should be informed, but we should be most informed of the truth of the Word of God. Choose today to feed your faith and fill your heart and mind with God's promises. Declare everyday, "My God shall supply all my needs. He makes a way out of no way. He is a Restorer and Redeemer." As you focus on God's Word, you'll drive out worry and fill your heart with faith and expectancy. You'll be filled with hope and joy and move forward into the blessings God has in store for you.
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, today I choose to put an end to worry in my life. I choose to feed my faith by studying in Your promises and declare your Word over my life. Help me to totally trust in You today and always. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Refuse to worry
"O God, you are my God. Earnestly I seek you;my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is BETTER than life,my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name, I will lift up my hands." Psalms 63

Hello mom of 6,
I was just wandering what religion you are and if you might be able to help me with something. I have heard from certain ppl that God only knocks on your hearts door so many times and then he is done. I have been saved and baptized, however, i still feel like i fail, i want to be a DEVOUT christian, I want ppl to look at me and know that I beleive and what side of the fence i am on. Do you beleive that God only knocks just a few times and then is done? Thank you for you time!!

Hi jmccrrcc, I was just reading your post and I wanted to respond. Please believe God NEVER stops knocking. You are a work in progress and He never leaves you alone. I think sometimes because of our anxiety/panic disorder, we feel unlovable. We put thoughts of failure, guilt, and fear in our minds all the time. I know you can trust that God does not judge us for any of these shortcomings. We may believe we aren't measuring up, but God knows we are his perfect creations. He made us in His image and likeness and therefore, there is nothing we can't conquer. Just ask Him in Jesus' name and you'll be amazed at how much He wants to give us our desires. Speak to Him from your heart, he will ALWAYS answer. Just listen to that still small voice within you and you'll hear Him.
I have been through much in my life. I think my anxiety and panic, which I've had for over 30 years, has been my greatest struggle. The past months have been like a living hell for me. That's when I realized I needed to trust God more and believe in His goodness. I prayed often and somehow He led me to this program. I'm on week 6 now, and doing well. I've learned so much of the pain of this disorder is really in our thoughts. So much of the pain we create ourselves because we don't place enough faith and belief in ourselves through God's divine intervention. I am finally seeing how He intervenes every time I feel like I'm not strong enough or good enough. I don't believe life has to be a struggle. I think we just make it that way. And, with lots of faith and changing to a happy, positive thought process, the struggle will end. Life may not be always fair, but God is.
Don't try to do everything, just BE. You are a worthwhile, good person with a beautiful future out in front of you. All of our best days are out in front of us. Live the precious moment as Lucinda says. This is what God gives us each and every day. Be in that moment especially when things seem hard, and you'll be delighted at the outcomes.
God doesn't care about your past, he cares about your NOW!!! Live it in peace. He will hold you in the palm of his hand and guide you no matter how many times you feel like you're falling.
May He Bless you with happiness, health and prosperity every day of your life!!!

jmccrrcc, I want you to take a moment and re-read your post
here, I will quote it for you word for word... " I want to be a DEVOUT christian, I want ppl to look at me and know that I beleive and what side of the fence i am on".
Please know that God loves you and he has more patience in us than we can even fathom. He has NOT stopped knocking!!! The words you wrote is PROOF that he is still in your life. YOU HAVE A DESIRE, A WANT and A NEED for him!!! that is obvious!! In my most anxious moments, I've been tempted to say "perhaps it's all a lie" or maybe even "God is not for real", HOWEVER, he never gave up on me because like you, I kept saying to myself, "I want ppl to see Jesus in me, I want them to know that I am a beleiver, etc"...do you understand what I'm trying to say here? You are OKAY and God loves you!!! Pray and read the word, that's where we get our strength, remember, "this too shall pass"..I believe that whole heartedly!! BE easy on yourself, God is
God bless you my friend and keep up the good work
Change, I read your post that you responded to jmccrrcc, that was WONDERFUL!! God is good isn't he?!!! I too love those daily inspirationals from Joel and Victoria, I just love them! They are so positive

God bless and take care
