I am quite new to the program. It seems to me that the program will work, even for me, if I work it. There have been so many disappointments and catastrophic events in my life, that I believe I could actually be the poster child for the before picture in advertising.
That being said, I am working the program through baby steps in order to avoid some of the panic attacks and depression that I have dealt with for years.
I am truly hoping that this is the forum for me to share and even possibly to uplift others, if allowed to do so.
Thank you for reading my comments.

To Molly77--Good job on the pineapple instead of sugary sweets. Just a recipe I made up to eliminate some sugar and get more fruit and nutrition that goes great w/pineapple is:
1 pint of plain yogurt(some of vanilla flavoring in it)
Then I add a teaspoon of pineapple juice from a can of chunky pineapple, then add pineapple chunks
I should have listed the ingredients separately,
Mix in a cereal bowl or smaller. I decided that a cereal is more practical after doing this with a 1 cup desert bowl.
Add 1 Tbsp or more for taste and nutrition of plain yogurt
Next the pineapple juice for taste
Pineapple chunks
Sweetened shredded coconut from a bag.
Marashino cherry and a tsp of juice for flavor
Whole or chopped almonds.
I've added to this concoction sliced apples, peeled, & sliced bananas. I'm sure mandarin oranges would be tasty as well.
Stir these together and enjoy. Try to leave out as much sugar sweetened items as you can. Anyway, this gives you something healthy and fiber w/ limited amounts of sugar.
I weighed the pros and cons of the plain yogurt. The less fat content it carried the more sugar they added. Also, the same was with added salt as well.
I guess if you can get mainly fruit and nuts in the mix and plain yogurt for its beneficial qualities, than a little bit of sugar won't hurt you as a huge bowl of ice cream.

good sounding recipe paisleeygreen I need to try it. I have ate so much sugar thru the holidays I feel like it is a license to over eat.I told hubby last night when this is gone no more. His blood sugar is pre diabetic and doesn't want to take anything for it. he sure needs to watch what he eats and exercise. which we both need to do.
