Yep...anything made of plastic. You name it. It's an interesting business. Anything from automotive to household stuff to the medical, dental and telecommunications areas. It tough for me not to pick up a plastic part and try to figure out how it was molded. It's a sickness LOL.
They seem to know what you are best at. You are a people person and they know it. If they didn't like you, you would've been canned a long time ago. You ROCK !!!!!!!!!!!
Work was awesome today ! The customer came in to check over the designs and it went as smooth as glass ! About 3 minutes before I was due to leave, one of our outsources called because they needed some informaton about a job, so I stuck around for about an hour. It went by fast and I was glad to help.
Tomorrow is Friday and then I get a few days to actually sleep in a bit. I can't wait !!!!!!LOL
I hope you start to feel better soon. I hate head colds. It makes the work day go by so slow. Just keep getting the fluids in and take care of yourself.

i've had at least 3 liters of water today trying to wash the cold out of my system. basically all it's done is increase eye watery-ness LOL
tonight is one of those nights where concentration is something that alludes me. i started trying to watch a nextlix movie and gave up. maybe a crosswork puzzle can hold my attention?
mama came by with brownies for my tech friends who paid for my lunch last week. she brought me some too - and some cake. mama makes killer brownies and cake. i feel a blown diet starting to take shape LOL
i'm off work monday - another forced and unpaid furlough day. i've got tons to do so i really don't care. and given what i make, it's not really going to put that much of dent in my paycheck. how is that for being positive?
party on, my friend. you are rockin' and rollin' at work!

Well, it may not be postive, but it isn't a lie ! LOL Just think of it as a 3 day weekend. You'll have plenty of time to do the things you want to do. Don't even think about work for the next 3 days. Just walk the dogs, get rid of the rest of the clutter in your house, clean up the yard (if the weather's nice), go for a walk by yourself just to clear the cobwebs from your mind, or just veg out and relax.
Today was an awesome day again ! The "boss" tried to edge us on with some smart a$$ comments, but I didn't bite. Yesterday, I wrote down everything I needed to do today at work. I just did my work, checked off my list and before I knew it, it was time to go home ! I even left with a smile on my face again.
Funny you mentioned about your car earlier because I just got an email reminding me that my truck is due to go in for an oil change. I will not forget to do that. I'll print out the email and stick it to the fridge.
Hope your day was one that consisted of rockin' and rollin' !

i spent the day at home with the boys. they don't judge me on how tacky i am with a cold. nor will they beat me up for coming in to work literally dripping with said cold. this cold is that bad! i probably caught it from a co-work who came in monday, tuesday and wednesday sick as anything. i don't begrudge her coming to work sick - it's just something i try not to do. so many of us are handling the same paperwork, using the same machines -breathing the same air - etc. and et al LOL
i honestly think 3+ liters of water i drank yesterday is helping push it out. my face is leaking LOL i just got back from walgreens buying soft tissues. i'm one of those people who never have tissues around - hence i have a roll of toilet paper in the bed, on my night table, in the kitchen - everywhere! it's not soft enough and i would have a red nose except i've become my grandmother and keep a jar of vicks vapor rub in my robe pocket. i am nothing if not the queen of glamoUr. i did tell the little checker at walgreens to please use hand sanitizer after she rang me up. i'm polite that way LOL
it stormed here this afternoon - thunder and lightning and all that jazz. i left the back door open so i could hear it on the tin awning over the back porch. i like that. the wind chimes were blowing too. since i had nothing better to do than watch netflix - remember i am an addict - those are the sounds i heard. and keeper barking at any sound in the neighborhood. he's a good watch dog.
the boys like it when i'm home. it's bonding time. we lie on the bed and watch movies together. keeper likes to run in and out of the rain so i'll be washing the quilt tomorrow. pony stays inside with me. despite being mostly lab, he doesn't like water.
this morning someone was at the front door ringing the doorbell and knocking with a vengeance. it turned out to be the meter reader from the electric company. he wanted to make sure keeper was inside. i'm never home when they come to read the meter so every month i get a "bad dog" letter telling me my electric has been estimated again. i've talked to 105 different people who now all have my cell phone so they can call and i'll meet them for the reading. nobody ever calls. the boys were with me at the front door barking and growling like mad dogs so i had to talk - yell to him - through the front window.
i watched a movie filmed in canada early this afternoon - breakfast with scot - and some of the characters said "huse" instead of "house". way cool. then i watched "incendiary" - filmed in england. they were both good.
after i came home from walgreens i tidied the kitchen and my bedroom. it had to be done LOL
i am looking forward to feeling better tomorrow - i will feel better tomorrow! there is clutter to be removed - dusting to be done - the attic is waiting for a thorough throwing away of junk!!!!
if it's nice, mama and i will walk the boys on the river walk. i want to sit in the sunshine in the back yard and know that spring has arrived. the tulip trees - japanese magnolias - are in full bloom. mama said earlier today - "it's gotten colder outside - it's 61 degrees!" i laughed and said - "thankfully it's not 21 degrees!" LOL
i write myself notes at work too! and i use outlook calendar so it's popping up with reminders constantly! remember to this, that or the other. now i've gone back and include what to include while i'm doing this that and the other!!!
i just remembered i didn't get dog food. i do not want to have to get redressed and go to publix!!!!

Personally, I don't care if someone goes to work sick, I just wish that they didn't spread it all around. Some co-workers of mine like to sneeze and wheeze and wear it like a badge of honour. It's as if they're saying "Look at me. I'm so dedicated that I came to work." There are also the co-workers that if they have a coughing fit or sneeze a lot, they'll go to the washroom and do it there. After that, they'll wash their hands thoroughly. Those are the ones that I don't mind coming to work sick. They don't spread it around.
I make it a point now to drink lots of water. I find that the days I don't, I get that panicky feeling more. I don't know if water is a miracle drug or not, but it works for me !
Way to go with the "bad dog" letters ! LOL You're dog's barks are probably worse than their bites ! I think that the meter reader is probably just being cautious. Your dogs are probably just big babies ! LOL
We have nothing in bloom here yet. I meant to plant some bulbs here in the fall but forgot. I get them from my cousin out in the country. (She owns a landscaping business). That's where I get most of my stuff.
I really need to start renting movies again. I've been missing so many. The last movie I saw was at the show and it was over a year ago. It was "The Hangover". Hysterically funny, but kind of vulgar. LOL I think that maybe I'll go to Rogers or Blockbuster and get a membership and start renting again. I've never heard of the movie from Canada that you are talking about. The last Canadian movie I saw was "Away From Her". It ended up being a "chick flick" LOL, but it was actually pretty good. Sad, but good.
It's been rainy here all weekend, but it's supposed to be sunny Monday to Friday next week and temps in the 50's. Time to clean up outside and take a trip to the dump ! Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy !!!!!! LOL

that's the link for the movie. i loved it!
if i'd kept all the bad dog letters, i could have wallpapered a room. the letters first started with pony - now with the grim keeper - what can i say? they mean it. they protect their property - maybe it's a southern thing? LOL
the sun is coming in and going out. and it's cooler today that it's been lately. yet i've still got the back door open so the boys and go in and out at will.
i wouldn't have known yesterday i even had a cold - it was that gone away! today it's back again with all the things that make it such a joy LOL
i would have such a good time at your family's nursery. i'd beg for free samples until they ran me off if they were my family LOL
i watched the movie "arlington road" yesterday. i'd read reviews on the movie "civic duty" and there was a comparison between them. it was incredibly intense!
so drinking water help you with anxiety? interesting. i drink a lot of water. thinking about it, it makes me feel better too! again, interesting LOL
i'm getting ready to do more cleaning and decluttering. i'm actually enjoying it yay for me!!! LOL
are you enjoying your sunday off? i hope so!

What a beautiful day ! The sun was out and it was in the mid 50's ! I didn't even need a coat.
Work went smoooooooth today. It was one of those days where it seemed like nothing could possibly go wrong (knock wood LOL) The time flew by and everyone was in a really good mood. It could have to do with the nice weather. It's supposed to be like this for the rest of the week. I think I heard a bunch of people opening their pools ! LOL
I forgot to go for my walk after work, so I need to find something to do in the house. I should get on the bike. I'm thinking of getting a set of weights. I have room in the basement to set that stuff up. I was thinking of re-joining the gym, but with the nice weather here and even more coming up, I hate to be inside.
Hope all rocked and rolled for you today !

i went to a funeral today. a good friend's 96 year old aunt died friday night. the round trip was about 65 miles. mama went with me. once i would have been so nervous driving there and back. today i had no problem. it's a lovely little small town and the directions we were given were all back roads. it was a beautiful service held graveside. it's just down the street from where she lived most of her life and you can see the river from there. isn't it amazing to be born, grow up, work, retire - literally live and die in the same place? and at the same time, it was so evident the lady made a difference in so many lives. very southern-esque.
yesterday i bought mama a new laptop - an acer aspire. i got the 2 year warranty too. we spent last night doing all the updates and getting it ready. mama finally left with it still here and updating. she took it home after we got back and it wouldn't connect to her internet. i went over and spent about an hour and a half on the phone with linksys to a very nice girl. she walked me through everything to find THE password my brother had used to set her last one up. i'm beat like a small dog LOL
mama offered to go in halves on it. i told her "happy mother's day" and that i'd be asking my brother and sister to pay some on it. sister says yes. i haven't talked to brother yet. either way i'm not really concerned. mama enjoys the internet and email. so party on - rock on, mama!!!!! LOL i remember one night several years ago, i told mama i was going to bed then went online instead. she went online and saw me on her buddy list - busted!!!!! in all caps she typed - GO TO BED!!!!! i was offline in a flash LOLOL
it was both overcast and sunny here today and cooler than usual - windy too - but that's march. my cold has now gone into a not too bad cough and a sore throat.
today was an unpaid furlough day. i think i heard they might be giving us 3 extra unpaid days along with the next 2 unpaid days. like i said before - i've lived on less than this before - and the ever so trite and overly used phrase by me - it is what it is LOL
i've now watched that movie "breakfast with scot" again. it's so sweet - endearing really. it makes me smile. so many of the lines are funny yet downplayed. i can't explain it?
tomorrow i'll be getting in touch with the pool people to find out why they haven't been here yet with my new pool liner. it's got to be done and soon! my back yard looks like "white trash southern living" - and i can't take it anymore LOL
i'm so glad you're days are wonderful. i don't bike - really never have. and as for me joining a gym? i'd join only not go so what's the point? LOL i wouldn't mind finding an aerobics class where i could pay by the class - and not do a membership. for now though, i'm content with walking - something i did NOT get to do the past week and a half!
hope tomorrow is as good as today was for you!!!!! btw, i've not reread/proofed any of this so forgive whatever it is i've mis-said LOL
