Hi triple"L",
The Bible does speak to the idea of "not forsaking the assembly of ourselves together."--Heb 10:25. God's church works and functions together as a body of believers--a family. When someone is baptized they are, in a sense, baptized into the church. "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers....And all that believed were together, and had all things common....And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved."--Acts 2:41-47. We can see from this last sentence that the Lord adds the new Christians to the church. It's not about salvation because you have your name written down in a church record book, but we need to worship and work together for the spreading of the gospel. Aside from ones personal relationship with God, Christians learn and grow together as a family. They edify and strengthen one another in the faith. That is why it is important to even make sure that those who cannot make it to church because of their health, etc. are visited on a regular basis. We all have our part to do as the body of Christ to function together as a whole. Even if ones situation calls for having a small home church, so be it. Jesus said, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."--Matt 18:20.
I hope this was of some help. May the Lord give you peace and guidance.
God bless!
