If you don't get a response from a post you make please try not to be discouraged or take it personally, try to remember you are dealing with a whole community of depressed and/or anxious people and sometimes we get a little caught up in ourselves. Maybe your post got lost. I know I wrote a couple that were very lengthy and then somehow they disappeared in cyberspace and never ended up on the message board.
Please believe me that this will help with your negative thinking and that your negative thinking is directly related to your depression. I had no idea how much or the extent of my negativity until I did session three. WOW. You can expect that one to produce some anxiety but it is worth it and you can find support here.
You are probably right, people don't like to be around other people who are consistently negative. I don't. I have a friend who I only have contact when she doesn't constantly talk negatively and look at everything with the worst possible point of view. I love her but when she affects my moods so negatively I have to protect myself. I know people have not wanted to hang out with me in the past because I have been such a downer. It's just part of this lovely issue we are all facing and dealing with the best we can.
Depression is my number one problem too and I was doubtful about the likelihood that this program would help, especially the first two sessions. But believe me it does. I am seeing some really neat growth just very recently and it is exciting. I am actually daring to dream again
