Hi Little - in one of the recent sessions there is talk about facing your fears when you are feeling the bravest and most relaxed, don't plan for it, just go sit in your truck when you are feeling good about it and then face that fear. Take baby steps and eventually start driving when the streets are clear, such as on an early Sunday morning.

I had the same problem. I didn't drive for 8 months and when I got to lesson 8 I finally started. I told myself it was just practice. And I literally just started out getting comfortable sitting in the drivers seat without actually driving. Then I'd make small trips, around the block. then moved onto bigger and bigger distances. I always practiced with someone I trusted in the car with me and gave myself permission to pull over and do my breathing if needed, which I did alot of. Eventually it worked and I was able to go out alone. Now, I just accomplished driving my husband to the airport and having to drive myself home alone. Then a week later I had to go alone to pick him up and then drove us home. That trip was 2 hours each way! And I had to drive through heavy traffic in San Francisco.

Just start by setting small practice sessions when the traffic is slow. You can do it!
