Good for you Suzie! Keep up the good work at your own pace. I think that's what relieves a lot of stress just from this program is by doing it at the pace you are comfortable with. You are proof of this! (me too)

It's so good to read this. The positives help to reinforce the positives. The other big words also are Patience and Persistence and Acceptance. It may not always go smoothly: maybe one step back, but then two forward. Nice going.

Hi Tina, tina martin wrote:KAMO, just know how wonderful you are at your work: caring, giving, attentive. You want to direct those attributes to yourself too. With your husband on vacation you can encourage him to help you deal with the anxieties you've expressed at his absence.
Best to you. Keep us posted. It is remarkable what we can do for each other as virtual friends. I've had the good fortune to be at it for several years. It only gets better.
I did great the entire week that my husband was home, but I got used to having him there and this week has not been a good one. I actually went for 3 weeks without an anxiety attack, but now that he's back at work and I'm alone again during the day, the anxiety has started up again. This past Sunday was terrible just thinking about him going back to work this week. I can't seem to win for losing.

Hi KAMO. First, I do not mean to minimize your anxiety; it is real, no doubt about it. But the root cause, my guess, is somewhere in your past, your early life, or so I think.
I come from a Freudian orientation, meaning (to me) that the past colors the present, sits repressed in the subconscious causing trouble. Sometimes this requires therapy. The program here is based on CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which can and does work. To the best of my knowledge it does not address causes which may or may not be necessary for good results. Just trying to share what I've explored......for years.
