I've seen so many including pastors along with psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors, friends etc. The last Psychologist I had over 2 yrs.ago now was the best. Before he moved to TX I got this program. I was sad to see him leave and gave him a big hug. He told me I'd be OK because I've got the program now to re-enforce the things he said. He was right. I've got the tools of the program plus all you wonderful people. Does it mean I don't ever fall? Of course not, but thank the dear Lord when I do, someone is there to pick me up. I am so grateful.

I'm only on week 2 of the 30 day free trial for Lucinda's program, but I think I will go ahead and purchase it. I recently started on antidepressants again after 3 years of being off of them - discouraging! I go to a psychiatrist for medication management -but it had been 10 years since I saw a psychologist to actually discuss issues. She's the only one I've been to who uses Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I think I learned enough from her that I didn't need to go back for 10 years - although needed the antidepressants some of the time. I bought a couple of books which teach you how to do Cognitive Behavior Therapy for yourself, Mind Over Mood, and the Feeling Good Book - they are helpful, but this program seems like it might work even better. It helps to hear other peoples trials and tribulations, doesn't it? Interacting with a book alone just doesn't do it.

The first psychiatrist I went to - in high school - for depression - tried to delve into my childhood to find the reasons - and made me and my family miserable trying to find something that wasn't there. Then it was suggested I had Seasonal Affective Disorder, which I think I do, but the bright light therapy gives me migraines, and I suffer from depression all the time now.

Here's to the StressCenter.com program!

BTW-I just turned 40 and instead of going on a vacation somewhere warm with my family to celebrate - I'm thinking this program would be a lot more valuable in the long run. Maybe not as fun, but longer lasting! I need to learn how to relax again.

I've been seeing a psychiatrist since I was 27. Actually saw one at age 18 but came out of panic attacks/depression with help of meds and didn't see one again until 27. Was on a psychiatric ward for evaluation at 18 and then again at age 31 for a change in meds.

I've had 3 psychiatrists thus far, the current one being my 3rd. I saw my first one for 7 years, the second one for 16 years and now this one. I thought meds was the way to go. But meds quit working for me as being the only help in my late thirties and I struggled until finding the Stress program. It's helped me a lot. I was on anti-anxiety meds for 27 years and have been off of them completely for 4.5 years now. Anti-depressant meds have dropped dramatically in the same time frame. All thanks to the program and exercise. I gave up on docs to solve my problems at age 50. Since I've taken the reins into my own hands I've been a lot more successful. Age 50 is when I changed docs and started seeing my 3rd psychiatrist. He understands and respects where I am coming from, that I will remain in charge of the decision making, not him, and believes I know what I am doing. The results speak for themselves.

I've seen a few from psychologists to psychiatrists and had a hard time finding a good one. I told one that I had gone to that I wanted the CBT and she said Ok but after 3 months she still hadn't given me any therapy for this so I left. One just wanted to know what kind of medication I wanted to try and another would actually leave me in tears by the end of the session and then would say "Ok the hour is up!" I didn't have much luck finding a good one but I know it's possible.
