Libran,

I, too, have had heart palpitations and do agree they can be so scary. Mine have come out of the blue and also when I'm really stressed out. I went to the Dr's where I work and he explained to me that it is a extra push of blood in a normal heartbeat. It can't hurt you and there is nothing to be afraid of. Think of it from this point, you have had them in the past, they don't do anything but make you "feel" scared or panicky. They always go away. They are harmless.
I do EKG's on people everyday at work and I see them in so many people. The complaints are all the same and the answer is always the same after all of the tests come back....it's okay, nothing wrong, don't let it scare you.
Do your breathing and soothing self talk...they pass and they are harmless. I know that fluttery feeling can be disturbing but it can't hurt you. You have had all of the tests...you're fine.
Take care.

Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences with me. No, I'm not on my period cause I was thinking maybe that's why I was having the palpitation but my boyfriend and I are trying to start a family. I will take try to just tell myself "Okay, it's not a big deal" and think about why I might be having one. I have had multiple tests done and all came back fine. I don't like the fact that anxiety causes all these physical and emotional symptoms but I do know your mind is a powerful thing. I love how supportive this forum is and I am so glad I got the program. It was worth every penny.

Libran,

I get them aswell, as a matter a fact, thats what Im fighting right now. Im at the point that I dont want to go to work, Im not going to the gym anymore because I dont want to get them. It is so scary when you get them that it puts me in a "oh crap, Im having a heart attack" mode. Its a crazy fluttering, takes your breath away feeling. It seems like I get them when, its hot and anything that can create shortness of breath which creates stress and I want to leave the "public" scene because I dont want to drop in front of everyone. Like Dianelynn said, your are fine after they pass. Its just so hard to over come when you have them.

Yes i get these too. I have had them for many years and they are VERY SCARY. They come from no where. You can be sitting down relaxing and bang they start. I have noticed that slow tummy breathing can help bring them down and so can really freezing cold water to drink. Also masaging your left gland in your neck. I am seeing a professional now and he says don't try and slow them down just let them be and get on with what ever it is you were doing. Which i haven't done yet as it frightens me so much i sit down. I am glad i found others that have these palpitations i felt as though i was the only one. xx
