Thyroid and hormones. I'm perimenopausal. When my hormones are out of wack, this internal shake acts up until I use my hormone cream (natural - derived from wild mexican yam). You have to find a naturopathic doc or women care doc that will give you the correct thyroid and hormone tests. Most tests will not show these results as needed. Check out these web sites:

Good info here.

I have had the shakes too. It is probably a combination of anxiety and just plain energy in your body and your body trying to settle down. I decided to just feel the shakes for a while, not to resist them. When I felt them fully, I worried about them less until they all but disappeared. I hope this helps.

I get this feeling! I get it around 10 PM and I feel it's the anxiety. The only thing that relieves it for me is a hot bath. I also get the shaky hands too. I was at a Lab this morning at 6:45 AM to get blood work and I could have made a milk shake. I wasn't really nervous or anything just shaky. I was thinking it may be hypoglycemia due to low blood sugar. I couldn't eat because of the lab work. Just a thought.

Do you notice it happening on an empty stomach?
