Sorry ladies, but YAZ has gotten a lot of bad reviews for not helping, but elevating, pms.

I can't take birth control. I've tried different kinds and every time I go NUTTY! When I was first on the pill, ortho-tricyclen, I was fine...but nothing since then have i been able to take without it creating horrible anxiety.

I hope you find an answer to your problem, because if you do...I would love to know.

Thanks for all the info. I've been taking birth control on and off for about 9 years. (When we decided to have kids, then I quit and restarted afterwards) Anyway, started having anxiety about 3-4 months ago. I saw a lot of commercials about Yaz claiming "reduce anxiety" and I was thinking about changing bc's but now I'm thinking I won't after hearing from you all. Sorry, I'm not more help. Maybe it's a combination of hormones and just being nervous about the procedure? Hope it goes away afterwards.

birth controls are evil.....in my honest opinion.. I was taking ortho tricylen lo for 7 years... I stopped in December and thats when all the anxiety and nervousness set in....I am now on my 3rd cycle since being off the pill and this one is better than the other 2 which were HORRIBLE-especially the first one..
Ladies read into this- bcp cause all kinds of problems--in the last 3 years my anxiety level had gotten higher- it was never nothing than the normal... I found out that the medicine content in certain pills had been changed in the last 5 years and I am not sure if what I was taking changed..
I am going through withdrawl from BCP..
In the past I had started and stopped several times and had no problems AT ALL..
I am hoping this program can help me cope while my body slides back to normal... and no doctors will ever admit one has to do with the other...
I found a nice health forum and I am in touch with lots of people who have had the same problems...

Hi everyone. I thought I would add my two cents worth. My anxiety came back in November after I had been put on BC because my period was 9 days long. I was on it three weeks and wham! My ob/gyn says that the hormone was such a low dose that it couldn't have been the pills that caused the anxiety, but I don't agree. Needless to say, my body is taking a long time to get back to normal. Last month I had a two week period. I am not ever going to take BC anymore. I'll stick with my 2 week periods thank you very much.
