I have been taking Effexor XR 150mg per day for the last 8 years and have been free of panic/anxiety. It was great! But I have recently had to move from WA to western NY and the anxiety has been crazy. I have been upped to 350mg per day and it helps some but not alot. The big problem is it is making me tired ALL the time. My question is, should I talk to a doctor about a medication change? Maybe my body has build up a tolerance to Effexor? I really have no idea how I am going to get and hold a job in the state I am in.

Did your doctor up your dose? Call him back and tell him they aren't working anymore. I wish there was a site for all the different anti-depressants and side effects. I have taken about 4 or 5 different kinds over the last 10 years but have never taken Effexor. Do some research on-line for alternatives to ask your doctor about.
